Born 66 years ago in Bergamo, Gianfranco Caffi has devoted most of his professional life to Human Resources.

From 1965 to 1968, after a short experience as a teacher, he entered the Milan plant of SIT Siemens (then Italtel), as Organization Analyst within the Process engineering department.

From 1969 to 1977 he worked for Philco, a multinational company of the Ford Group and then of the Bosch Group, manufacturing domestic appliances (white goods and TV sets).

After a two year experience in the organization analysis area, he started his activity in the HR sector, becoming Human Resources & Industrial Relations Manager.  

From 1977 to 1983 he worked in Novedrate (CO) for B&B Italia, a leading company manufacturing upholstered and design furniture, with a wider role: HR, Organization and IT Systems Manager.  

In 1984, after working as a consultant for a year, he decided to offer other companies his broad experience and set up, together with Giovanni Oriani, Skippers, a well-known brand in the Italian search and selection sector.

From the very beginning he managed the business as Managing Director, consolidating his experience in the Industrial sector and gaining a broad competence in the Automotive and Furniture areas.

He never stopped being one of the sales leaders of the company, thanks to his extraordinary ability to understand customer needs.

Under his management Skippers grew and became one of the leading Italian businesses in this sector; in 1992 the company took over Support, widening the range of services, including Training, Development, Outplacement and Training activities financing.

In 1999, together with the newly appointed Managing Director Domenico Mistri, he followed the transfer of Skippers into the American multinational company TMP Worldwide, and kept working for the company as Manager and Senior Consultant up to 2003, after the spin off with Hudson, which acquired the company consultancy activities.

Since 2004 he has been Partner and Member of the Board of Directors of Support and has personally participated in the start up of the Search and Selection activities, making his significant contribution to the dynamic and impressive development of the company up to now.

Thanks to his extraordinary knowledge of the above mentioned markets, Gianfranco Caffi is one of the most outstanding search and selection experts within the Industrial sector, with special competencies in the companies operating in the Automotive, Furniture and Oil & Gas sectors, as well as the internal contact person for the Engineering competence centre.

Gianfranco Caffi is married and has a son. He is keen on sport and he loves spending his free time with his family and with his dog Whisky.
